How we check prices and test details

Where the information comes from

Every price, test name and list of included tests comes from the provider's own website. We record the page it came from and the date we checked it, and show that date next to the price.

How often we check

Affiliate links, coupons and provider availability are checked automatically every week. Prices are re-checked against the provider's website regularly, and any price older than 30 days is flagged for re-checking.

What we never publish

• Prices, test contents or claims we can't trace to a provider's page or another stated source.
• Medical advice, diagnoses or treatment recommendations.
• Reviews, ratings or testimonials we didn't collect ourselves.

If something isn't known (for example, a test's full contents), we say so rather than guess, and link to the provider's page.

How we choose "Our pick"

When more than one provider sells the same test, we recommend the one that is best for most people based on price, available coupons, how quickly results arrive and test-center coverage. Commissions never buy a listing or position. See how we make money.

Corrections

If you see an error, tell us. We check it against the provider's website and correct it, updating the "last checked" date.
